Scottish, 1883-1937, was a Scottish painter associated with the Scottish Colourists. Francis Cadell was born in Edinburgh and, from the age of 16, studied in Paris at the Academie Julian, where he was in contact with the French avant-garde of the day. While in France, his exposure to work by the early Fauvists, and in particular Matisse, proved to be his most lasting influence. After his return to Scotland, he was a regular exhibitor in Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as in London. He painted landscapes, interiors, still life and figures in both oil and watercolour, but he is particularly noted for his portraits, depicting his subject with vibrant waves of colour. Ivan Vishnyakov
(1699 - 1761) was a Russian painter. Vishnyakov was born in Moscow. He was a pupil of Louis Caravaque, a French artist, who worked in Russia. Vishnyakov worked in the painting department of the Ministry of Construction, and painted primarily portraits at that time. In 1739 he was promoted to the head of the department, and led the decoration of many palaces and churches in Moscow, Kiev, and Saint Petersburg. He died in Saint Petersburg in 1761.

Carl Petter Dahlström, född ca 1705, död 4 mars 1794, var en svensk möbelsnickare. Dahlström gesällvandrade 1745?C1755 i Nordeuropa och Frankrike, där han i Paris kom i lära hos den tidens främste ebenist Jean-François Oeben. Hos denne lärde sig Dahlström faneringstekniken marqueterie ?? fleurs eller blomsterintarsia, som var en metod för att möta rokokons krav på fanering av dubbelvälvda kroppar. Mycket tack vare rekommendationer av C.J. Cronstedt blev Dahlström efter hemkomsten till Sverige utnämnd till kunglig ebenist den 19 november 1756. Han finns representerad på Nationalmuseum med en byrå som han tillverkade tillsammans med Lorentz Nordin. Dahlström överlämnade 1769 sina privilegier till Niclas Palmgren och ägnade sig därefter åt restaurangverksamhet.
